The room was spacious, with two tables, a couch, and a large balcony that had plenty of privacy and a clothes rack. We also had a lovely, peaceful view from the bed, and could hear little birds even though the hotel was quite full. I liked having one big bed instead of two mattresses with that annoying gap. The price seemed fair for the region. For breakfast you can get a latte macchiato, but you have to go ask in the kitchen. The restaurant's outdoor patio is surrounded by nature, and there's a playground beside the tables, so you can eat while the kids play. There were some pretty unpleasant cleanliness issues. The bedsheet had disgusting stains, and my mug at breakfast had food bits in it. The only other mug at the buffet was dirty too. Breakfast starts at 8, and the selection is quite basic. We arrived for dinner at 19:30. When we said we needed a little time to choose, the waitress told us the kitchen would close soon, although we'd been told dinner ran until 20:30. At 19:45, while we were waiting for our food, I got up briefly and a waitress put away my bench cushion. After dinner, we waited ages to pay and eventually went inside to settle the bill. They only take cash, at both the hotel and restaurant.

The room was spotless and roomy, with a huge balcony, a TV, a safe, and plenty of closet space. The shower had great pressure and the hot water was just the right temperature. The sofa, though, was so uncomfortable it felt like sitting on a rock to watch TV. The food was a nice surprise: for about €8.50, you get a delicious burger with a generous serving of fries. The owner was very kind too. Breakfast normally starts at 8, but my boyfriend and I needed to leave early, so she moved it to 7:30 the next morning just for us.

The food was excellent, and the people and staff made the place feel amazing. Loved the pine trees and mountain scenery. We should have stayed longer. I'd give it more stars if five weren't the maximum.

The rooms are a little dated, but the scenery, beer garden and food are among the best in Bavaria. This place is an absolute hidden gem, truly amazing, and I'd highly recommend it.
