The key handover was contactless and a little unusual, though it all worked out fine. I stayed two nights in room 2, which was cozy and roomy, with its own kitchen, fridge, and appliances. I didn't have any real cleanliness complaints, and it wasn't like the very harsh reviews from earlier guests. It seems the owner took those comments seriously. Still, a quick sweep before the next guests arrived would've helped. That's why I'm giving it four stars.

The room was cold and damp, but the size and price felt completely fair, and I'd stay again if I was in the area. Most things were clean: the trash was out, dishes were clean, the floor had been mopped, and the kettle was empty. There were stains on the sheet, though they looked like marks that hadn't fully washed out. And yes, the TV worked too :-) I really don't get the extremely negative reviews.

I would've left right away if I'd found another place to stay soon. I've never reviewed accommodation before because standards and tastes differ, but this was hard to believe. The room, sheets, and towels all smelled bad. There was dirt everywhere, cobwebs and dead bugs on the windowsills, and the floor clearly hadn't been cleaned. The pillowcase had awful stains, so I covered the pillow with my own towel. There was mold on the ceiling over the shower, stale water in the kettle, and I don't even want to say what was inside the toothbrush holder. The toilet paper was the last straw, one end was completely smeared with some unidentifiable dirt. Just disgusting.

I left as soon as I saw the bathroom. The room looked renovated at first, but that brief good impression disappeared when I saw black marks in the shower and shower heads that seemed completely germy. I'm a former soldier and usually not fussy, and an old-fashioned bathroom wouldn't bother me. The owner had already sounded irritated and unfriendly on the phone when I called to ask about availability. Places like this should be shut down.
