It’s well located for old Bayreuth, with lovely staff and indoor parking, plus limited outdoor parking. There’s a gym, sauna, and restaurant, and breakfast is very good. They also offer a well-priced shuttle to and from the Opera, with a complimentary glass of Sekt beforehand.

Friendly staff and good facilities, but the place is a bit basic. The rooms are small and have no fridge or tea and coffee setup, and they don’t bring luggage to your room. Breakfast is OK, as is the focus on the Festspiele. The location is OK too, close to the city centre but not in it.

The room was very outdated, and the pillows felt like they’d been there since the hotel opened 30 odd years ago. They gave no support, so my head was on the mattress most of the night. The staff were friendly, though, and the location was good.

The restaurant meals were delicious, and breakfast was especially good. My room, bedding, bathroom, and towels were all very clean. The Wi-Fi was fast, and even though I don't speak German, the staff were kind and courteous. I'd highly recommend the Rheingold in Bayreuth. 👌

We were in town for the Bayreuth Festival and were glad we picked Hotel Rheingold. It was quiet, with clean, tidy rooms and kind staff. Restaurants and shops were easy to reach on foot, which made it a great city hotel.
