We had a lovely second-floor room overlooking the River Danube, with air conditioning and a great shower. We stayed three nights and really enjoyed both Passau and the hotel. The classic continental breakfast had enough choices for most people. We chose the Koenig for its location and ‘underground’ parking on our first visit to Passau. You can reach the Old Town from the second floor, then use your key card to release the door when coming back in. I make a point of talking to the staff, including the cleaners, because people appreciate a kind word and a thank you for their work. If we return to Passau, the Koenig will definitely be our hotel.

The service was good, and they let us store our ebikes safely in their garage. The room was nicely designed and spacious enough. The location is very convenient: you can reach the Old town easily and exit onto one of the streets from the second floor.

We enjoyed the tasty breakfast each morning, and our large room was spotless. It's a lovely little hotel across the street from the Danube, well placed for exploring Passau's old town on foot, taking in the views over the river, and walking along the nearby Inn river.

The Danube view is perfect, and they went above and beyond to make sure my little dog and I had a great time and a good rest. I loved our stay and can't recommend them enough for anyone traveling with pets ❤

The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is right on the Danube, with access to the main shopping street. Rooms are large and clean, with a nice river view, and even though the nearby road is busy, traffic noise didn't disturb us. The hotel isn't big, so parking could be an issue. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area, with shopping streets around the hotel. I'd recommend it whether you're visiting for business or a vacation.
