We got a warm welcome and, on a very hot day, an upgrade to a room with a balcony. After a cold beer on the terrace, we had dinner in the village. The hotel has its own restaurant too, and it was busy the night we were there. Later we played board games in the guest sitting room, and in the morning walked up to the castle ruins using the free passes they gave us. The breakfast was generous and delicious. It's a fabulous third-generation family hotel on the edge of postcard-pretty Beilstein. Highly recommended.

The whole Burgfrieden - team made our short stay lovely, and we want to thank them for it. They were extremely friendly and helpful the entire time, and gave our little one lots of attention too. Our room was clean, charming and big enough. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Everything was spotless, and the breakfast buffet had a huge choice of hot and cold food. The family are charming and the staff polite. The hotel is tucked behind the beautiful tiny village of Beilstein, so it's quiet and peaceful, with good parking. There are big, comfy rooms and beds, a large bathroom, plus a restaurant, sauna, gym and bike hire. They also hold a Medieval banquet at their castle once a week. I really can't fault anything.

We spent a week at Hotel Burgfrieden, a lovely family hotel that's been around for 70 years. The rooms were nice, reception friendly, service smooth and the cuisine delicious. There are three private parking lots, and there's always somewhere to park your car. Beilstein is surely one of the prettiest villages on the Moselle, and a good base for visiting other places by car, bike, boat or bus, or for hiking. Highly recommended!
