We spent several holidays in the beautiful Hochthron apartment, and each one left us with lasting memories. Over time, the Kastner family came to feel almost like friends. They’ve always been kind, friendly, and helpful. Though we’ve lived elsewhere in recent years, we’d love to return. Warm greetings from Sauerland to Berchtesgaden!

The family is super nice, and the apartment has a sensational mountain view. We had everything we needed. There are plenty of trips to take, or you can just stay on the balcony and enjoy the scenery. We’d love to come back.

We stayed at Zinkenstadl in mid-July 2025, three of us, and felt at home right away. The apartment has been stylishly renovated, with lovely attention to detail. It’s peaceful, the mountain views are stunning, and there’s a nice terrace with a lawn in front. The host was always available. We’ll definitely return.

The surrounding landscape was breathtaking, with cheerful people and plenty of lovely ways to explore. With all the sunshine and wonderful experiences, we’ll remember our time in the Hochthron apartment fondly. Everything felt just right, and we were very comfortable there. We had everything we needed in this spacious, newly renovated apartment, which was clean, modern, and very well equipped. The balcony’s mountain view is stunning, and it’s a lovely place to relax. The hosts are warm and gave us good ideas for things to do and see nearby. Our one disappointment was the crib mattress: it was too thin and soft, and our daughter could feel the slats while sleeping. We’d still gladly stay again the next time we visit the beautiful Berchtesgaden landscape.
