B&B Hotel Berlin-Tiergarten

The price is low and the location near the train station is good, but the service was very disappointing. We stayed five days and our room wasn’t cleaned once. We asked three times, and even after they said cleaners would come in 20 minutes, nobody came. Before a long flight, we’d hoped to sleep in a fresh bed.

Breakfast was okay, but don’t expect much. I understand not changing towels every day for environmental reasons, but it was disappointing that nobody checked the room even once a day. I’d also arranged for our trash to be taken out, and that never happened. The room wasn’t looked in on during our entire stay. A very weak four stars.

The room was smaller than we expected, and the open shelves looked a bit budget oriented, so I’d say it’s better for a short trip. We also hoped the large window would catch the sunrise. The neighborhood gets quiet in the evening, with no nearby coffee shops, restaurants, or shopping; the Zoologischer Garten area, about 1 km away, has plenty of places to eat and is livelier if that’s what you want. Paid parking at 15€ a day felt costly, and when we asked to arrive an hour early just to leave our bag, the extra charge was 15€, so we changed our plans. We chose it because we wanted somewhere nearer the city center with breakfast and street or paid parking available. For three of us it was around 60 euros per person including breakfast, which was decent, and the location was good enough for our one-day stay. Staff were polite and professional, and check-in and checkout were easy. We got a number unlock code on arrival, and there was Free WiFi. Bedsheets, towels, and washrooms were well maintained. Breakfast was decent too, with bread varieties, cheese, butter, toast, fruit, juice, coffee, milk, and flakes. The kitchen staff kindly gave me warm milk when I asked. There are common washrooms on the ground floor, and free street parking just next to the hotel helped us save some money.

The prices are good, and the rooms are fine. It has a modern look with nice decor, especially in the breakfast room. There’s a good selection of breakfast items as well.
