I usually don't leave bad reviews, but I feel like I lost more than 1,000 EUR and got nothing in return. My calls and messages have gone unanswered, and I feel ignored, lied to, and scammed. By accident, I booked 14 nights. I realized right away and tried calling, then emailed, but heard nothing for days. After two days I finally spoke with Frau Meyer. She said the office had to check the emails and that she couldn't do anything herself. The next day I was offered only 10% back, which still meant paying over 900 EUR for a mistaken click. I found someone who could stay a few nights in my place to limit the loss. When I arrived for check-in at 6:20 p.m., the door was locked and nobody was there. Calling and emailing again did no good, so I came back the next morning for the keys. The check-in lady told me the manager, Frau Meyer, had canceled my booking because I was 20 minutes late for check-in. This was the same Frau Meyer who had told me earlier she couldn't make decisions. I said I'd paid in full for 14 nights and should get a key. They said they were within their rights to keep the full payment without giving me a room. Since then, all my calls and messages have been ignored. More than 1,000 EUR was charged to my credit card. I never thought something like this could happen. I can only advise people to stay far away.

I only found out after booking that late check-in came with an extra fee, which was fine. But when I arrived to check in, they had no key for me and couldn't provide a room. I waited an hour while they tried to sort it out, but nothing came together. After midnight, I was left with nowhere to stay and had to find somewhere else in a rush. Luckily there are plenty of chain hotels nearby. I'd avoid this place.

The shared kitchen and lounge are a nice way to meet some of the other guests, who came from all kinds of backgrounds. The staff were fantastic, and the host was very welcoming. It's gay friendly, affordable, and gives you more privacy than a hostel, which was exactly what I wanted. One thing to know: check in before the staff finish for the day at 6 p.m., unless you let these friendly people know you'll be later.

The room was nice, and the location is handy for a U-station. Check-in closes at 18:00, with a €10 late fee after that. The kitchen was okay, though the fridge could use a proper clean. I'd recommend the place.
