For travelers on a budget who are fine sharing a room, this is a great option. I stayed one night, and the room was in good shape. The people I shared with were respectful, and everything felt clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and offered towels and locks for a refundable deposit. Breakfast was simple, light, and inexpensive.

The common area is lovely and makes it easy to meet people, and the staff are helpful. They also let us leave our bags for free in a locked storage room. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is really good. The showers could be cleaner, according to some people, and they aren't as powerful as at other hostels. You have to keep pressing the button. Still, a really good hostel.

The location is very central, right across from the TV tower, so it was easy to get around. We had a really good stay as a couple. Our private double room seemed quite new and was neat, the toilets were clean, and the staff were attentive. Breakfast was nice too. I'd definitely recommend it!

The washrooms could use some upgrades. They have a tall, narrow, jail-cell feel, though after using them you do come away clean and happy. That aside, Citystay was one of the better hostels we stayed at on our five-week trip, out of 12. The rooms were clean with lively decor, and the big common rooms made it easy for strangers to strike up conversations. Reception also serves as a cafe and bar, with a long table full of pamphlets about things to do.
