Kaiser Apartments Berlin Charlottenburg

The location is great, but the property needs its owner to show some care if it’s going to improve. There are lots of other options in the neighborhood. There were many issues, and staff seemed unable to handle problems without the manager, who I never saw during my stay. The night man yelled at me when the only vending machine took my money. It was late and his attitude was very disturbing, enough to make me feel unsafe. The rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful with what they could do. The door lock batteries ran out for the last two days, so desk staff had to walk us to the door and let us in each time. Breakfast staff are very friendly, and there are choices, though the food is exactly the same every day and nothing special. The signage shows Belgian waffles, but there weren’t any.

The location was very good, but the room was horrible and hadn’t been cleaned. There was cut hair in the sink, dust on the mirror, and the towels looked 100 years old. I had to check out immediately.

Excellent location, and the service was good. For a budget hotel, I wasn’t expecting much, but it was surprisingly clean and the rooms were comfortable. The bathroom wasn’t the best, so I’d give that part 4 stars out of 5.

The room was okay for a night’s sleep, and there were lots of bars and places to eat nearby. But the service has a loooottttttt to wish for. The receptionists seemed indifferent, as if you were trespassing. They gave very bad looks and spoke to you like you were having an argument and they were ready to get ugly. Everyone working there made it clear they didn’t want to see you, let alone know you were staying at the hotel. Prices for stuff are crazy.
