Ela Apartments Berlin

We spent two weeks in this lovely apartment and had a beautiful stay. The staff were kind and helped us with laundry, and both the room and bedding were clean. The service was top notch. I’ll definitely come back on my next visit.

Getting around was easy with public transport, and the location was great. I stayed several days and had a really good time. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were very clean and well organized. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Berlin.

We booked expecting a double bed, but got two beds with a big wooden frame between them. The blanket they suggested to cover the wood didn’t cover it properly, and it was still very hard to sleep on. There was no bathroom in our room either, just one shared with the other guests, and we waited several minutes for the water to warm up. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and there was no breakfast. For two nights we paid 260 Euro, including 30 Euro for checking in after 7 o'clock in the evening. Other hotels charge 10 Euro max for that. The place is near the edge of Berlin, but the price was higher than average for the city center. The price quality ratio was unacceptable, and sleeping in this “hotel” was an awful experience.

The staff were really friendly, and there’s a bus stop right outside, but I thought this place was a rip-off. The room and furniture were very basic, mostly old IKEA, and the beds were so uncomfortable they creaked whenever you moved. The floor did the same. Hot water sometimes ran out. It’s beside a fairly busy road, with a hospital nearby, so expect loud traffic and ambulances.
