GINN City & Lounge Yorck Berlin

The room was spacious and really quiet, with a view of Park am Gleisdreieck. The hotel was handy for my business visit, and it was easy to get to more central areas too. Staff were lovely and helpful, always ready with useful information or a hand. Good value for the money.

The room was a good size and nicely decorated, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the location was easy to get around from. I liked not having a phone cluttering the table. Everyone was friendly, the cocktails were great, and the free filter coffee and tea were a nice touch. Breakfast was nearly perfect, though the pancake machine was a joke: it was inconsistent, and the tiny pancakes were hard to enjoy while warm. I asked about bacon on all three days and there never was any. The long check-out window was fantastic: check-in at 3pm and check-out at 12pm meant only three hours when I couldn't use the room. But even when a room was already clean before 3pm, early check-in cost extra, with the fee based on how many hours early you wanted to arrive. That felt greedy and left a bad impression. Some staff conversations were also uncomfortable to overhear, especially when they were about guests, personal matters, or internal topics. Quite a few cleaning staff had very limited English or German, though they were friendly and eager to help. I'd still recommend the place, but the staff chatter, the missing bacon, and the early check-in fee left a bit of a bad taste.

I spent two weeks at the GINN and had a great stay. The room was clean and nice, and the daily service went beyond making the bed, they actually cleaned it. The workers were so hospitable. I ordered a lot of Uber Eats and kept asking for forks, knives, plates, and the like, and they never said no. Everyone was really nice.

For one night, this worked perfectly: the room was clean and modern, check-in and check-out were easy, and breakfast was a nice continental spread. There's a supermarket next door, and the airport is about 30 minutes away by taxi. The noon late check-out was handy too. Only thing missing was tea or coffee in the room.
