Our family had booked through booking.com months ahead, but Great Stay cancelled on the very day we were meant to arrive, a Friday. They said there was a “problem with the doors,” and booking.com told us to find somewhere else. Great Stay didn't try to help or even apologize. We just got our money back. The worst customer service and a terrible experience. I really wouldn't recommend booking here.

We were meant to spend the weekend here with family, but on the day we were due to arrive, booking.com told us there was “a problem with the door” and we couldn't stay. They said we'd have to find somewhere else that same day. Great Stay Apartments never contacted us or apologized. We only got our money back. Horrible experience and service. Stay at your own risk.

Berlin has barred tourists from renting whole apartments in an effort to protect affordable housing and keep rents down. The city hopes large fines will help safeguard the supply of homes. The law, called “Zweckentfremdungsverbot,” was passed in 2014 and took effect after a two-year transition period that ended on April 30, as reported by AFP. From May 1, short-term tourist rentals of entire apartments require a city permit. People who break the rules can be fined up to €100,000. People who don't live in the city may rent rooms through internet portals, but not entire flats or houses. ATTENTION, DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE AGAINST GERMAN LAW.

They cancelled our booking on the day we arrived and only said they were sorry. They didn't help us find another place to stay. Don't book with them!

Check-in was a complete mess, the Wi-Fi didn't work, and there were broken things in the kitchen. Lots of problems. Can't recommend it.
