I travel with Booking.com often and have had no trouble with these same cards, including in Germany. This time, after a confirmed reservation from both Booking.com and Gästehaus, I first got a notice that my Revolut card wasn't accepted. I immediately tried my other cards, but the reservation was suddenly cancelled. I was coming for a concert on a specific date and then had to look for somewhere else far from Olympic Stadion. I wouldn't rely on this Gästehaus. EDIT 7.8.2025: As I said, I tried the Revolut card and then two Erste cards, with the same result. Your accommodation rejected the cards, not Booking. I can provide Booking confirmation emails. Then the reservation was suddenly cancelled, and the room was immediately occupied?

The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the kitchenette had all the equipment we needed. The nearest S-Bahn station is a six minute walk away. It's good value and makes sense if you're staying in this part of town or find central Berlin too expensive.

It's in a very quiet spot, about 40 minutes from the Brandenburger gate by public transport. The room was comfortable, clean, and big enough for two people with luggage.

Our first room had broken furniture, with pieces and screws lying around, and a dirty bathroom, especially the toilet. The replacement room looked unprepared and was even dirtier. There was mildew in the shower, along with some kind of fungus at the bottom. The toilet seat had strange stains and liquids on it, and there was human hair everywhere. The kitchenette couldn't be used because the fridge was stuffed full of towels, for some reason. In the bedroom, a strange deodorizer smell mixed with mildew, so we kept the windows open through a very cold night. They should reconsider renting out rooms until these problems are fixed. I can't recommend staying here as things are.
