The check-in receptionist was really helpful. We also had a nice view, a spacious bed, and a big bathroom. There was a handy spot for coats and shoes when we came back to the room. You can use a washing machine and dryer, and get fresh towels from reception or the service point on your floor. The location wasn’t that great. The U-Bahn, bus station, and tram are next to the hotel, but there’s a park with shady people. During our six-night stay, the sheets weren’t changed, the quilts were pretty small, and they gave two single quilts for two adults sharing a double bed. The heating kept switching off at night, which was really frustrating.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and we even got a complimentary room upgrade. Our room had a huge walk-in closet and a kitchenette stocked with everything needed for cooking. There’s also a service room for laundry and ironing. With the U-Bahn right next door, this hotel is definitely worth it. I’d give it even more stars if I could ✨

The fire alarm woke us twice in the middle of the night, and both times everyone had to evacuate. Firefighters checked the building before we were allowed back inside, but it was unsettling and seriously disrupted our stay. The hotel itself was clean, decent, and well maintained. The area around it was another matter: there’s a park right out front where many homeless people gathered, and a lot appeared heavily under the influence of drugs. We were often approached or had to walk through groups who seemed extremely intoxicated, which left us feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. Between the location and the repeated alarms, our experience was affected a lot.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the room was thoughtfully designed, with every bit of space put to good use. The location is hard to beat. If I return to Berlin, I’d choose this place first again.
