Hostel am Kurtti

I booked a six-bed room, but when I arrived I was shocked to find a room for three that slept five people. The receptionist wouldn't change it, and when I asked for a towel, she was disrespectful and raised her voice. The place was filthy, and I had one of the worst experiences of my life. They spoke no language except Turkish, and I felt they were scammers. I left the motel and spent the whole night sleeping in my car. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Getting around from here was easy. You can go directly to Alexanderplatz and other Berlin highlights, and it's close to a supermarket and places to eat. The staff were polite and very nice. The mattresses were good, and there are three kitchens guests can use. It's got everything you need, and it's very quiet.

I lived there and ended up having to make arrangements with the police. The hotel wasn't as clean as they claimed, the service was bad, and I found the staff rude and homophobic. When I booked a room, they gave me something else. I also believe they steal tax from the government, and I felt these were dangerous people. Don't trust them. Read the other comments, they say exactly what I think, and I'm not the only one.

Getting around is really easy here: there’s a bus stop right outside, an U Bahn station about 50 metres away, and two supermarkets within 70 metres. A mall and a bank are across the street too. The rooms are spacious and clean, with private bathrooms and kitchens in the more expensive ones. Cheaper beds are available in shared rooms, and every floor has a shared kitchen and bathroom. The staff are always ready to help and very polite. Loke was especially helpful, so see if you can find him. The one drawback is the lack of a lift, which could be tough if you have lots of bags.
