Hotel ZOE by AMANO

There are loads of places to eat around here for lunch and dinner, and many central attractions are within walking distance, around 2 miles for several of them. The airport is about 12 stops away on the direct S9. Check-in and check-out are electronic. One person is tucked away in a corner closet, but they’re not there to look after you. They do store luggage if needed. Rooms are cleaned every day, whatever time you head out. They’re dark, as are the hallways, and the blackout curtains keep light out, though you’ll hear some train noise. There’s also a strange black mirror in the room that looks like two-way glass. I did inappropriate things in front of it just in case. The bathroom door closes aggressively. Breakfast is worth paying for, with a substantial though repetitive selection. The price is a little high, but not too bad.

Leaving our bags for free after check-out let us spend a few more hours exploring Berlin, and the staff were friendly and very professional. Check-in was easy, and the room and bathroom were spotless, with clean bedding and a soundproof window. I had a very good stay and highly recommend the place.

The rooms were great, everything was clean, and the staff were wonderful during our six-day stay at Hotel Zoe by Amano. Ivan deserves a special thank you for being so welcoming and making the whole visit easier and more enjoyable. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Berlin! 🌟

The location was perfect, and the place was clean. The bar staff were kind too. But the rooms felt far too small, and worse, they were horribly dark. We switched on every light and the TV, and even opened the wardrobe to let in more light, yet it still felt gloomy and depressing. Why design a hotel this way? Guests who want a moodier room can always turn the lights off. The beds were uncomfortable as well, and we couldn’t open the window for fresh air.
