Loft in Prenzlauerberg

I lived there for two years. It's a nice area, with some cool cafes.

Enjoyed my visit to Berlin and it was nice staying here.

The place doesn't look like the pictures.

I canceled as soon as I got there and went to another hotel. There was no way I could sleep there, even for one night. The place was some kind of shop, with a musty smell. The beds were bunk beds and the stairs felt completely unsafe. Closets were packed with tools, building supplies, and utensils. The Wi-Fi was awful, there was no ventilation, and the lights didn't work because there weren't even bulbs. The shower was by a window facing the street, right in the shopfront area. That's what it was like. I've attached photos to show what I mean. It's shameful that places like this can be rented out. I contacted the person in charge, but got no reply and no help getting my money back. Booking.com also offered no solution for the remaining deposit, saying that by canceling I'd accepted the cancellation. SHAMEFUL!!!!!
