MOXY Berlin Humboldthain Park

The value here is great, and I had a pleasant stay. It’s close to lots of places, especially the train station, and the receptionists and bartenders are great people. My only gripe was figuring out which elevator button went to the lobby. They should put a sticker on it. I think it was button E, but it took me three tries the first time. Maybe I’m just a dumb potato.

The staff were the best part, especially Gabi, who welcomed me so warmly and professionally. I was pretty tired when I arrived, and Gabi’s kindness was exactly what I needed. I loved the hotel’s vibe from the moment I walked in, too. The decoration and style put me in a great mood right away. I’ll definitely come back ❤️

The room didn’t even have a bottle opener, let alone a mini fridge. I paid extra for a view and got the parking lot with trash. The bathroom had only soap and conditioner, and there was mold in the shower pan, as shown in the attached picture. The hall by the elevator smelled like shit every time I came out. I booked a King room so I could work in it, but all it came with was a bed and chair: no wardrobe, phone, concierge call option, safe, or table. I’ve stayed at the Moxy in NYC several times, so I picked the brand because I knew what to expect. This Moxy completely took me aback. How is this considered a four-star hotel?

My daughter checked out this morning and only later realized she’d left an important item in the room. When she went back, the staff took her concern seriously and several people helped search carefully until they found it. I’m so grateful to everyone who helped, especially the front desk manager, a gentleman with an Italian accent. I’m told everyone was kind, reassuring, and very helpful. Many thanks from a mom in Alaska, on the other side of the world. I’m so glad this had a happy ending.
