On my return through Berlin I stayed another two days at Ocak Apart Hotel Berlin, after using it as an overnight stop on my journey from Warsaw to Amsterdam. It turned out to be a comfortable, reliable place for my route across Europe. The location is handy, with public transport, shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby and good links around the city. I found the hotel safe and well managed, which matters when you’re traveling with luggage. The rooms were modern, spacious, and clean, with comfortable beds and practical furnishings. After a long road journey, I could relax there. The building looks impressive, especially lit up in the evening, and the entrance and surroundings were clean and well organized. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, with eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, cold cuts, cheese, and vegetables. The modern dining room had a pleasant feel. Staff were polite, efficient, and professional, and the multilingual service was useful. Berlin is a beautiful, energetic city with a lot of history and character. I’d recommend Ocak Apart Hotel Berlin to travelers looking for comfort, a good location, and a modern setting.

The rooms stayed clean, with fresh towels from room service. It’s a really good, clean place, close to a train station and shopping center, and not too far from the city center.

The location is good, but the rooms are very basic and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Check-in was a mess, with no clear instructions, so you have to work it out yourself. If something goes wrong, you need to walk around looking for staff to help. Parking is very limited, maybe 20 cars, and about half the spaces are for handicapped parking. It costs extra, which wasn’t mentioned.

It’s close to Gesundbrunnen station, with good connections across the city, and I guess the price makes it okay. Still, it’s a very average place. Cleanliness was so-so, with visible spots that had been missed and a bad smell lingering in the bathroom. I’d only suggest it for a short stay.

It was our first time in Berlin, and we booked through Agoda. Check-in was listed for 3:00pm, but after coming back to wait in the lobby around 2:15pm, we got into our Premier Studio at 2:45pm. The AC didn’t really work, so we had to open the window for airflow. Gesundbrunnen Train station and the mall are within walking distance.
