We had a great stay with our group of six, and the host was really accommodating. They even offered to come back and clean the floors again. The apartment has four bedrooms, two fully equipped kitchens, and one bathroom, with plenty of space for our four nights in April 2023. The floors weren't very clean when we arrived, and the bathroom lock jammed a few times. There's also a pub in the basement under two bedrooms that stays open late, so light sleepers may want earplugs. Still, I'd definitely recommend it for friends visiting Berlin. It's close to pubs, restaurants, the U-Bahn and Alexanderplatz, and we thought it was great value.

The location is good, but the stay itself was awful, the worst place I've ever stayed. Since payment was required before arrival, I doubt I would have booked if I'd seen the room first. The bed sagged, there were no sheets, just awful padding, and we ended up sleeping on a wool mattress cover. The pillows felt like bags, and the heat was unbearable. We asked for a fan and the owner said no, telling us to open the windows. But a bar right below was noisy until 5 a.m., so we were stuck choosing between the noise and the heat. With the windows open, the curtain couldn't be lowered. Our towels weren't changed during the four days, the TV didn't work, and the owner expected us to be there whenever he wanted to come fix it. There wasn't even a glass for brushing our teeth. The view out front was like looking at sticks, and the box of tiny lights above the bed was really ugly. It felt like staying in a tent in a good location.

I've stayed here several times and have always been happy with it. The price is good, the location is great, and the landlord is really helpful. For a longer stay, I find it more relaxed than a hotel.
