The Aga's Hotel Berlin

The staff were very friendly, and the beds were comfortable. The toilet was okay, the price was decent for our few days there, and the hotel is close to the S-Bahn, though a little outside town. The lighting in both the room and bathroom was quite dim. One day, our room wasn't cleaned at all. The main problem was the heat. There was no air conditioning, and when we asked for it, we were told it would cost extra. What we got was a fan. Sleeping in the hot room was really difficult, so we opened the window and flies came in. Maybe this hotel would be better in winter.

The breakfast had lots of choices, and I found the room clean and decent, with a comfortable bed. The hotel is affordable and easy to reach by public transport, although it's a little outside the city centre. I left my luggage there for the whole day and was able to freshen up before heading out that evening. The staff were friendly, and I'd definitely stay again.

The room was fairly priced for a pleasant, ordinary stay. I found the hotel a bit too far from the places I needed and wanted to visit. Public transport is nearby, but the road outside was under construction, leaving no safe way for pedestrians to cross. That made crossing with the children feel unsafe each time.

Berlin itself was amazing, but the hotel was a poor experience. The restaurant looks beautiful and is set up for weddings around the clock, though that left hotel guests squeezed into a corner at tables almost touching, with no privacy. The landings smelled foul, like human waste. Most of the staff were unhelpful and ignorant, and at times close to rude. One young woman who checked us in was the exception. She went out of her way to help us, but after that things went downhill.
