Hotel Bristol Berlin

Breakfast was the main letdown. The price didn't match the quality: most dishes seemed bought ready-made and reheated, and tasted that way. They were only slightly warm and quickly went cold on the plate. The staff were kind and doing their best, but the food still disappointed. The fresh fruit was a nice touch and seemed to be the only thing prepared on-site. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel suited my style perfectly. Later in the evening, though, when I needed something, there was no staff around to help, and I couldn't go downstairs myself.

The staff were professional and even arranged a day trip with a local guide for us. Since it's not a chain, the place felt warmer and more personal, and we'd absolutely stay again. Our room was bigger than expected, with modern furniture, a huge bed, and a balcony. The bathroom looked newly renovated and had a rain shower. We also enjoyed breakfast on the terrace every morning.

We stopped for coffee while touring the city. The staff were friendly, the decor was pleasant, and the building had an interesting structure.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed seeing Berlin and the hotel. If you're bringing kids, though, be aware that everyone has to be naked in the sauna.
