Garner Hotel Berlin - Mitte by IHG

We chose the hotel for its location, but checking out left us very disappointed. Breakfast was included in our reservation, yet the staff asked us to pay extra for it. When we tried to show our booking documents to the receptionist, the supervisor, Marcue, suddenly came over and said, “I’m her boss and you’re pressuring her.” We were only trying to show her our documents. We were calm and polite while explaining what had happened, but he was rude, raised his voice, and even mocked us. No employee should treat customers like that. Hospitality calls for kindness and patience, and we were very disappointed by Mr Marcue’s behavior. Some of his words also made me feel he was hostile toward Turkish people. It was a bad experience, and I can’t recommend a hotel with staff who are so rude.

The team were so kind and helpful that they practically gave me a guide to Berlin, from places to see to local tips. They made the trip unforgettable. The location, rooms, and breakfast were all excellent, and my stay at Garner Hotel Berlin Mitte was incredible. Highly recommended! It was AMAZINGGG!!!

My room was modern and spacious, with a comfortable bed, adjustable climate control, a useful coffee machine, and a mini fridge. The bathroom was modern too, with a large shower and complementary toiletries. I arrived early and the friendly staff were able to accommodate me right away. Reception also offered city maps and general tourism advice, and I got a nice surprise when they upgraded me to a larger room. The Garner Hotel Berlin Mitte is close to Checkpoint Charlie, shopping, restaurants, and the U-Bahn. I had an excellent stay and will consider staying here again on my next Berlin trip.

The service was really friendly, and I liked the room size and bathroom. We got a great deal on the basic double room, and it turned out to be an amazing value. The hotel is well placed for walking to most central sights, with several U-bahn and S-bahn stops very close by.
