The toilets were clean, and the location, atmosphere, and decor are what earn this place its three stars. Some friends stayed here and gave the room and staff three stars too, with good intentions. We joined them for breakfast, though, and it was awful, nothing like the buffets from years ago. Such a shame.

I can’t think of anything to complain about. We’ll definitely keep coming back. My husband, who is blind and has a neurological impairment, and I have eaten at the restaurant several times, sometimes with friends. The food is fantastic, and the service is amazing if you’re not uptight. The hotel is great as well, especially since you can bring your dog and they have special rooms for that.

What a shame, I’ve heard this gem is closing. It’s another unique place gone, and I hope someone takes over the hotel and restaurant. I’d check in again in a heartbeat. I stayed three nights in a single room for €75 a day, breakfast included. It was cozy and quiet, with a bathroom and flat-screen TV. The separate entrance meant I could come and go without disturbing anyone. The hotel is a little dated, but the restaurant has loads of charm, and the service is friendly. Breakfast was fantastic: a warm, soft-boiled egg, different rolls, butter, cheese, jam, cucumber and tomato, plus coffee however you like it. It’s not especially modern, but it feels cozy. I’ll be back.

The mornings were magical, listening to the birds with the windows open. This is a lovely place for day trips, with a beautifully kept garden, little ponds, and rustic seating areas. The roofed rooms have wonderfully comfortable beds, and the family-run hotel has the Rabennest restaurant. The restaurant is well worth a visit. The food is excellent, there’s something for every taste, and they also have a seasonal menu. The chef is happy to accommodate special requests. Even near closing time, the friendly staff served guests one last drink. Thank you, highly recommended!
