Sankt Maximilian

The old-fashioned feel of Hotel Sankt Maximilian was really cool, like stepping back in time. Our family room was cozy, spotless, and so peaceful that we all fell asleep as soon as we lay down. It was incredibly quiet. Even though work had made our schedule crazy and we checked in late, Sonja greeted us with such warmth and kindness. She was patient and attentive, and made that first hour in the city feel relaxed and welcoming. She showed us around the room and explained what we needed to know. Breakfast was a feast, and the whole team made it clear they cared about making guests feel special. That kind of hospitality really matters when you're traveling with kids. Huge thanks to everyone at Hotel Sankt Maximilian. We can't wait to come back someday.

I've stayed here several times with groups of 6-8 while touring wine regions in France and Germany. It's always the group's favorite, with nice rooms, good food and wine, and a great location.

This was a great find. Chris and I cycled here on 26 July and called around noon once we knew we'd make it to Bernkastel-Kues. We hadn't planned to eat here, but after putting our bikes inside at the back entrance as requested, we walked through the lovely dining terrace. The bathroom made it easy to freshen up, and dinner was excellent. The waiter gave good recommendations, the wine was good, and the room was comfortable. The hospitality was great. We'd return if we cycle the Mosel again!

The restaurant was sensational, and the staff were really friendly. Our room was spacious, with a huge bathroom and lovely views through the living room windows. Parking was easy and the location convenient. Breakfast was good, and the Wi-Fi worked okay most of the time.
