Ferienhaus Stausee Eifel

We spent a really lovely week here and would happily return. The setting is beautiful, with gorgeous nature all around, and Luxembourg is about a 30-minute drive away. We enjoyed walks nearby, and the golf and mini golf course is only a five-minute walk from the house. Lidl in Bitburg was the closest place we found for groceries. The cottage sits by the reservoir and was spotless when we arrived, with the beds made and towels and tea towels ready. It has a fenced area behind the house, so our two retrievers could wander safely, and there was plenty of privacy and peace. The stairs take some getting used to, but we found the house very comfortable: good beds, a great shower, Wi-Fi, and even a computer for checking email or looking things up. The kitchen had what we needed, including a dishwasher, a bean-to-cup coffee machine, tea-making supplies, an oven for warm rolls, an egg cooker, an air fryer, and a fridge with a freezer compartment for ice cream. There was also a good barbecue on the terrace for evenings outside. We couldn't easily sort out fishing in Germany, though we got it arranged online in Luxembourg in about five minutes. We often finished the day at the restaurant by the lake, just a short walk along the water. The food was delicious and the view was fantastic. The dogs loved swimming, my son built dams in a river, and we rented a pedal boat on two evenings. It was a refreshing start to our holiday.
