The food was good and up to standard, and the staff paid close attention to us. It’s a cozy, welcoming place to unwind. I had a pleasant meal here, with excellent service.

We stopped in for coffee and cake after having a fantastic lunch here earlier. The waitress was extremely friendly to us both times. And they have a cute dog!

The restaurant was excellent, especially the schnitzel, some of the best I’ve had in Germany. The portions are huge, though. Staff were professional and friendly, and the owner speaks English, which helped since my German is limited. We stayed in a duplex beside the main building during high season, but it was a perfectly quiet retreat in the uncrowded southern heath. The bed was comfortable, the bedding plush, and the huge bath had a tub and spotless vintage fixtures. There was also a nice seating nook in the entrance hall. It’s a wonderful old-fashioned German countryside hotel, with good value all around and free stays for pets. We’ll be back soon.

The room and food prices are more than fair, and the staff are nice and helpful. A good spot if you enjoy walking or cycling.

There’s plenty of room for kids to run around, and the traditional German food is made with local products. We had a really tasty dinner in this lovely part of northern Germany, and it wasn’t expensive. Highly recommended.
