We brought more than 120 people here for a choir workshop over the weekend, and the team at Haus Annaberg looked after us really well. The food was great, and our rooms were clean and orderly. I'd happily recommend Haus Annaberg for another event.

A peaceful old manor house, tucked beside the Friesdorf forest.

We spent two nights here while backpacking through Bonn. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, though clearly old, and there was a sink in ours. The grounds are large. Getting there meant a 15-minute uphill walk through the woods with no footpath. There weren't many cars, but the route felt a little scary late at night and lovely in daylight. They only take cash.

I stayed for a month and really enjoyed it. It's a quiet, nicely decorated place surrounded by nature, good for a vacation, and there are both guest rooms and longer-term student rooms. The uphill walk each day was a bit of a struggle, though. If you have a car, you'll probably love staying here.

Tucked away in the woods, it's a lovely spot for a vacation or seminar when you want to get away from everything and recharge. It's child-friendly too. Very clean, especially the kitchen, with hygiene rules that are pleasantly strict. Kudos.
