What a great stay for a Christmas trip to Rügen. The Dutch owner and his staff were so warm and caring, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The hotel is very good, with simple, very clean rooms and delicious food. During our Bolderman Christmas trip, I ate better here than I ever have at a hotel. There was live music, cozy snacks, mulled wine, and Berliner Bollen fire pits. What more could you want? A big thank you to Fabian, Nadja, and their mother for all their care and dedication. I'm a coach driver with Snelle Vliet in Alblasserdam, and my passengers and I had the pleasure of staying here. Over 15 years I've stayed in more than a hundred hotels for work, so I feel I can judge the quality. This one has excellent service, a good buffet dinner with plenty of tasty choices, and a good, generous breakfast. My single room met my expectations. I could park the coach and bike trailer right next to the hotel on its private property, which was perfect. It's a cozy family hotel run by a Dutch couple, and the smaller, more personal feel is a real plus compared with large places like Radisson, Novotel, and Van der Valk. Having a Dutch couple running it in the far north of Germany makes it feel even cozier. One small drawback is the high step into the shower, which I've seen mentioned here before. I've already told them about it, and they know it's an issue. If you're visiting beautiful Rügen, it's a great base for day trips around the island.

The hosts are wonderfully kind, friendly, and flexible, and they take guests' individual needs into account. Cyclists are especially well looked after, and the warm, family feel makes you feel welcome and gives the stay a lovely holiday atmosphere.

We stayed for a week with a group of more than 30 people at this cozy hotel and had a really pleasant time. We were well looked after, and both the rooms and the rest of the accommodation were neat. Everything was in order. If we did need something, it was sorted quickly, so just ask instead of grumbling! The children were thought of too. It was lovely, and especially tasty, to have both breakfast and dinner as buffets with the group. I'd be glad to come back.
