Kapuzinergarten Panoramahotel & Eventrestaurant

The hospitality here is probably the best I've come across, even after staying in plenty of five-star hotels. We were amazed by all the thoughtful details, from the comfortable bed, room, shower, and towels to the good-quality products. The breakfast buffet comes with the stay and has lots to choose from. You can even pick a 3-minute soft-boiled egg or a 5-minute hard-boiled one. There’s a sauna and massage and spa services too, and the price is very reasonable. The hotel has seven floors and sits in a lovely area surrounded by gardens and beautiful plants. The owner, Mr. Hau, told us he’s been running it for 38 years and makes his own wine. I was going to try it later that night. We were heading to a wedding party the evening before, and he suggested keeping a card in my pocket in case we couldn't find the hotel. When we got back around midnight, he was still in the lobby to say goodnight. The hotel and the owner’s hospitality were a highlight of our trip in beautiful Germany. Thank you, we’ll definitely return!

The setting is almost perfect, with a view over The Valley that we really enjoyed, and the staff are friendly and quick to respond. Our two-course Menü started with a tasty goat cheese salad, though the portion was small. The catfish main had no flavor, and the vegetables were completely without herbs. The sauce was okay. Dinner was sort of all right, but not worth the price.

The view is fantastic, and the service staff do their best. The restaurant is meant to be great, too. But the rooms really let us down, and that affected how much we wanted to explore the rest of the area.

Breakfast had everything I could want, and the rooms were comfortable. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. A charming place in a wonderful location, and one I'd happily recommend.
