ibis Bremen City Hotel

The woman at the desk wasn't helpful, and the room floor was so dirty I had to keep my shoes on. It was also extremely noisy. I could hear everything around me and couldn't get to sleep until after 3 am. I can't remember staying at a worse hotel.

The breakfast was a highlight, with a great range for a very reasonable price, more than I'd expected from an ibis. The front desk team made the stay too, especially Charline, who was a great help. Thanks to the whole team. I enjoyed my time at ibis Bremen City and will probably choose the ibis Hotel again on my next visit to Bremen. It's within walking distance of the main station and city center. The busy road out front does make some noise, but my room was on the side of the hotel so it wasn't too loud. The room itself was like at any other ibis.

It's a pretty standard Ibis, and the staff are very friendly. From the hotel, the canal and the park beside it are about a five-minute walk in one direction, and another five minutes gets you into the heart of the beautiful old town. The shorter walk from the main station takes you through one of Bremen's less salubrious areas.

The room had no fridge, kettle or other basic amenities, and the Wi-Fi was awful. The service was terrible too. My company had already booked and paid for two nights, yet I spent about 20 minutes at reception getting the keys while filling out paperwork and giving information that seemed completely unnecessary. I don't see why they need my address and phone number or all those other irrelevant details. I don't recommend staying here.
