A car is necessary here, since you can't really rely on the buses and there’s no train service. The accommodation is in a small hamlet or village between the ski parks, with the shopping centre and local Aldi and Lidl not too far away. We found it difficult to get up the hill without snow tyres. It was hard to find the place, and we arrived early in the morning, though we’d been expected in the afternoon. Our host still welcomed us and let us use the accommodation. The previous guests had turned off the heating, so the host had left several electric heaters for us, though we barely needed them because the weather was unusually warm. Cooking was easy, with electric appliances and all the crockery provided.

The mold was the worst part. It covered the windows and frames, and the apartment smelled musty from the moment we arrived. Opening the windows didn’t help, and by the next morning they were completely wet. We both got headaches and left a day early. The apartment was cold when we arrived, and the old radiators barely worked. In winter, having to turn the heating off while out during the day meant there was no warmth left when we came back from skiing. The furniture was old too, and the bathroom so tiny that getting ready properly was difficult. The landlords were uncooperative and then lied to the booking portal we used. This was unacceptable service.
