Ferienhaus Mosel Bub

We felt very comfortable here. Mrs. Klein-Götz was warm and kind, and breakfast at the winery had a good mix of cheeses and cold cuts from the butcher, plus yogurt, water, grape juice, and eggs. They made sure guests sat apart so the dogs wouldn't disturb others. Our room was spacious, cozy, and very clean, with a double bed and sofa bed, and the large bathroom was modern. The rooms were cleaned regularly.

We left feeling completely unwelcome, as if we were a nuisance. There wasn't even an apology. Mrs. Klein simply asked whether we'd take the rooms, and said we could leave if we didn't want them. We had planned a nice weekend in Bruttig with two other couples. Our friends arrived Thursday after emailing the owner, Mrs. Klein, of the Götz/Klein guesthouse in June. They'd booked two rooms with breakfast, but were told on arrival that there had only been a verbal confirmation. Mrs. Klein said her computer had been down for four weeks and the website hadn't been updated in about two years. Instead, the four of them were offered an apartment with a kitchen and a bathroom (!) at the Mosel Bub, with breakfast at the guesthouse. Then on Friday, when we arrived as a couple, we learned that the booking we thought was *safe* had been given to our friends through booking.com. We were left to decide whether to be upset or accept Mrs. Klein's new offer, supposedly because all tourists are desperate to go to Bruttig. The cold-blooded businesswoman Klein, who seems unable to apologize for losing track of guests' bookings and cancellations and knowingly took double bookings, needs to be stopped immediately. This is no way to treat guests. She sent a tour group of eight people home and asked another couple to leave their room a day early so we could stay. Some might say, "Wow. What a businesswoman!"

It's in a quiet spot, and the holiday apartments are furnished nicely and practically. One of them is wheelchair accessible. Breakfast is offered too, about a five-minute walk away.

The room and bathroom were lovely, and the hosts were really friendly. We enjoyed the food and the delicious wines too. Highly recommend it.
