The owner was really kind and did what he could to help, and the breakfasts were generous and very nice. I had a good stay and would come back. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. A few people in my group weren't happy with their bathrooms, though mine was more than fine, and some rooms were cold. That might happen in winter if a room hasn't been used for a few days and needs time to warm up.

A quiet, quaint hotel with very good prices. The beer garden was lovely, and the food came in generous portions and tasted great. The service was excellent. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area, or just looking for a few beers or a nice meal.

I spent a night or two at Hotel Ackfeld in July 1976, when it was the first stop for U.S. soldiers assigned to Stockerbush Kaserne. HQ, 5th USAAG. I served 54 months at Stockerbush and never heard anyone complain about the temporary accommodations. SP5 Philip H. Lowell, Jr. HHD, 5th USAAG APO NY 09171

The beer garden was really nice, with good beer and food. It's a great family run hotel and restaurant, and the staff were friendly.
