I left just before midnight and stayed somewhere else. The owner said it was "boring" as I was going, and refused to refund my card payment. There weren't even signs in the car park showing where reception was. This was a very strange experience, with poor customer service, and I wouldn't recommend the place. The hotel was advertised as pet friendly. At check-in I said I had a pet and had also ticked the pet option on booking.com, but once I was in my room the owner confronted me and said I hadn't declared it. He was rude and insisted I should know which room was suitable for a pet. I asked him to show me the rules, since they weren't on booking.com, and said staff should put guests with pets in the right rooms. When the owner unlocked his phone to show me rules that didn't exist, I immediately saw disgusting pornography on the screen. I tried to sort things out even after he called me "stupid". I offered to move to the pet room or pay for housekeeping in my current room, but he declined both. He was arguing with staff and shouting in the restaurant. No surprise the hotel, restaurant, and car park were empty.
