The apartment is on the fifth floor with no lift. The owner knew when we were arriving but hadn't got the room ready in time. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The so-called minibar fridge was empty and, with the inside warm, useless even as a fridge.

The apartment is comfortably furnished and has everything you need in the kitchen: an oven, ceramic hob, angled extractor hood, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, and dishwasher. For a longer stay, there's a washing machine too. There's a mirrored sliding-door wardrobe in the hallway, plus a double bed and a large TV. The one thing missing is a nice picture above the bed.

Communication with the owner was excellent, and having a dedicated parking space was a big plus. The apartment is cozy, well equipped, and right in the city center.

Chemnitz and Freiberg have Christmas markets that feel like hidden gems. The apartment also made a great base for seeing the area, sitting just outside Dresden and near the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. We were surprised by how lovely it was, with thoughtful details throughout and a parking space right in the city center. The price felt very fair, so we added another week to our stay, which worked out perfectly.

The stairs are a pain, but for so little money I’ve never stayed anywhere this comfortable. Everything else felt just right, including the smoking area on our floor and a private parking spot right outside the door.
