Hotel Mondial am Dom Cologne MGallery Collection

The rooms are small, but laid out well to make good use of the space. Ours was comfortable and very clean, with a great shower and toiletries. We could see and hear the cathedral from the room even though we hadn't booked a view. The gym looked well equipped for a hotel, and the sauna area was very nice. The location worked well too, close to the old town and only a short walk from the station.

I really liked how close the property was to the Station, the DOM, the River, and all the restaurants and pubs nearby. I'd requested a DOM-facing room for that breathtaking view, and the house restaurants served amazing dishes. The place was spotless, and the staff were warm and welcoming. I'd love to come back someday.

Most of what we wanted to see in Cologne was within walking distance, which made the location especially good. The botanic garden and cable car are at the other end of the city, but still reachable on foot or easily by bike or scooter. The hotel was lovely, with a nice room and a clean bathroom and shower in great shape. The bed was comfortable too. The spa and gym were good for a hotel. The spa has a sauna and a steambath, with no pool or hot tub. It's a nice extra, though not a dealmaker or dealbreaker. The gym equipment was good quality, but weight options were limited to 10kg and 20kg plates, with no 5kg or 2.5kg ones. One small thing: it didn't seem possible to connect an hdmi cable to the TV, since it was fixed to the wall with the ports at the back. It's nicer to watch a show or movie on the TV than on a computer or tablet. I'm very happy with the hotel. It isn't the cheapest, but the quality and location are great.

We stayed here to explore Cologne's Christmas markets and had an amazing time. The hotel was stylish, elegant, modern, clean, and very comfortable. I loved the shower so much, especially the handheld shower, that I tried to find the same shower head model online for my house. The staff were warm and welcoming, and I really liked the little gift shop. The cathedral and three Christmas markets were all within walking distance. I'd definitely stay again on my next visit to Cologne.
