Hotel Regina

At these prices, it’s an efficient choice for a short trip. The street itself is pretty quiet, but a ten-minute walk gets you to lively Ehrenfeld, with its multicultural restaurants and bars. As of October 2025, there’s construction around the hotel and it gets noisy from 8 in the morning, so keep that in mind if you plan to spend the day in your room.

We stayed last night for a concert at Live Music Hall, and the location worked perfectly. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the clean room had all we needed for one night.

The room was tiny, though convenient, and it was nice to have an elevator. This is a comfortable, friendly family-run hotel, with helpful people. The only catch was reception closing at 6pm, or even earlier in my case. The hosts communicate well, so it wasn’t a problem, but remember that if you might need anything extra.

We stayed at Hotel Regina after the new owners took over in early 2023, so I can only speak to our own very positive visit, not earlier reviews. Everyone we met on staff was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The room was modest in size but big enough, and the bed was very comfortable. We faced the road and heard a little traffic with the window open; shut, it was quite acceptable. Breakfast was a simple continental spread of cooked meat, cheese, bread, fruit, and coffee, served daily from 7 to 10. The owners seem to care about their guests, and we wish them well.
