The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and staff made no effort to fix the problem. When we asked, they just said Wi-Fi was a gift they didn’t guarantee, so we had to change hotels. The staff were very unfriendly.

The room was clean and comfortable, even if it wasn’t new or especially fancy. Ours faced the street and got a little noisy at night. The location made getting around easy, with the Cathedral about a 15-20 minute walk away and Lanxess Arena roughly 10 minutes away. A couple of things to know: the elevator runs only from 6 am to 10 pm, which may be awkward on an upper floor, and I couldn’t get the provided WiFi password to work. I’m sure the receptionist would help if you ask.

The location worked really well for my theme park visit, and I’d probably stay again. My room had no hot water the whole time, though, and the bed was ridiculously soft. I never saw anyone at reception during my stay, so I can’t really say anything about the staff. It was just okay.

The location was the only real plus. I stayed at Skada Hotel two weeks ago and was really disappointed. The WiFi was useless, and the password was ridiculously long for a connection that bad.

We had a clean, decent-sized room with a bathroom that worked well, and the price was good for a four-night stay during the Euro's. Storage was pretty limited, which was the main drawback. Check-in was easy and we got a very friendly welcome. Hotel Skada is right across from Koln Messe/Deutz railway station, handy for the Koln Triangle observation deck and Lanxess Arena. Rheinpark is walkable too, and Kolner Dom is only about 1k away. A good option for a budget stay.
