La Maison Hotel - Boardinghouse

We booked a double bed but were given two singles, and I want my money back. The heating and TV didn’t work, and there was no water or soap in the room. We were told nobody could help until reception was staffed at 7:00 AM, after we’d spent the night outside in the cold because the door wouldn’t work. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’d give it zero stars if that were possible.

The rooms are spacious, with a good-sized bathroom, but the bathroom smelled very unpleasant. There was also a bad smell when we entered the hotel, the elevator was broken, and check-in came with several problems. Parking was difficult and complicated too.

The provider cancelled my booking at short notice, supposedly because of a credit card issue. The card had been working perfectly just three days earlier. Now the room costs five times as much. Makes perfect sense, right?

The beds were uncomfortable and the room wasn’t clean. There was no staff around, and the promised water bottle was missing. The elevator was broken, the stairwell was narrow and smelled bad, and there was no parking nearby. An absolute disaster!
