I could clearly hear into the next room, even hearing someone cough, because the rooms are poorly insulated. On top of that, the check-in was a mess: I got no instructions for entering the building or finding the room key, and had to call the property at my own expense to work it out. The next morning, while I was sick and asleep, the cleaning lady knocked aggressively and shouted, “room service, room service.” She came back twice, knocking harder each time, and even tried my door with a key while I was inside. When I didn't answer, she called the manager, who also came and knocked repeatedly. It was extremely disturbing and a serious invasion of privacy. The management felt very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who cares about privacy or getting rest.

The owner was extremely unfriendly and wouldn't hold my luggage at checkout. The walls are thin enough that I could hear the person next door watching YouTube. It was a bad stay, and I won't come back.

We felt so uncomfortable that we cut our stay short by a night instead of staying the planned four. I told the owner on the first day and asked about a partial refund for the unused night, but they refused. The room was tiny, the furniture very old, and the bathroom and toilet were shared. There were only about five TV channels, all very local and not popular, so there was literally nothing for adults or children to watch in the evening. I had only known there was no elevator, which wasn't a problem for us. Given the hotel's high rating, I wasn't prepared for the other issues and ended up very disappointed. The room was quite expensive, even compared with some chain hotels of much better standard that, for some reason, have lower ratings on Google and Booking. I think ratings should reflect the actual hotel conditions, however kind the hosts may be.

I booked through an online platform, which said check-in details would be sent before my travel date. They never arrived, and when I went there, I found my booking had apparently been cancelled because I hadn't shown up in time. They refused a refund, even though they hadn't sent any information beforehand. They cancelled both nights, wouldn't let me stay even one night, and still gave no refund. They also blocked my phone number, so I couldn't call again. Absolutely not recommended.
