We picked this park because it was near a fast-charging station, which can be a nightmare to find in Germany. The brochure said they had a car charger to lend, but when we arrived we couldn’t charge: the app wouldn’t activate and was only in German. To get home, we had no choice but to sneak electricity from our villa. Nobody at reception could help. Don’t come here. There are better options in Belgium or the Netherlands.

It’s a peaceful base for biking and hiking, and most of the houses have really nice views. The houses are clean, spacious, and well equipped, though the many slopes and stairs mean they may not suit wheelchair users. There’s a small pool, the restaurant is nothing special, and you can easily rent bikes right beside reception.

We had one of the most relaxing vacations I’ve had in a while. The nature and views are gorgeous, and we did lots of lovely walks in the area with our dog. We spent plenty of time having drinks and dinners at the perfect restaurant, and I’ll miss the view with my Aperol spritz ☺️. I’d definitely recommend the all-you-can-eat BBQ on Wednesday, and the flammkuchen on the other days 😉. Thanks for the great service!

We ended up with a great view of the surrounding area from the splintery porch, which our other dog enjoyed. But our stay in house 95, listed as a comfort 6 house, was awful. The pictures showed a modernized place with new furniture, while inside there was an old smell and a lot of dirt, even though we paid a cleaning fee. The windows were dirty, dead flies were everywhere, the shower drain was clogged with hair, there was mold inside the shower, the cutlery was dirty, tables were sticky, and the toilet seat was stained. The fans had cobwebs, and there was old dog feces around the house. The furniture was worn out, the couch was dirty and stained with a deep dent, and the bed springs dug into our backs. The refrigerator and a garden chair were broken. When we complained at reception, they were only willing to offer us apfelstrüdels as compensation, which didn’t cover the cleaning costs. Moving to another house wasn’t a good solution either: our neighbors got that offer and had the same cleanliness problem in their replacement house. Our dog got sick, and the information book didn’t include a vet’s phone number. That was unacceptable.

The lake surroundings are beautiful, and the walk around it is very nice. There’s a busy, noisy road between the park and the lake, though. Around the lake you can rent a boat, swim at a small beach, and find a few simple facilities, including a place for beer, coffee, and basic food, plus a little waterslide for kids. We stayed in a Linda 6 wellness bungalow. It was quite recently built and very nice, with a bubble bath, sauna, an ensuite shower in every bedroom, and a separate toilet. The balcony looks out over a lovely typical Eifel landscape. The park has all sorts of holiday bungalows, from simple small ones to luxurious options. The big drawback for us was privacy: our house was very close to the neighbours, and with the curtains open we could almost see what they were eating. Every house we saw had its curtains facing the neighbours closed, including ours, which made the rooms quite dark. The same lack of privacy applied to the balcony when neighbours were outside. The road and privacy issues bring it to four stars; without them, it would easily be five.
