Maritim Hotel Darmstadt

Traffic made our group arrive late, but that wasn't a problem at all. The hotel was excellent, and the food was excellent both nights and both mornings. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was good, and the hotel was solid overall. The lunch service was a bit slow, and there was some train noise in the evening. Otherwise, perfectly fine.

The recent renovations have left me extremely satisfied and genuinely impressed. It’s a clean hotel with a traditional charm that goes well beyond the usual chain experience. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, including at the breakfast buffet, which exceeded my expectations for both variety and quality. There are thoughtful complimentary touches too, like water and sweets in the lobby. The value for money is outstanding.

The balcony was a highlight, with a lovely street view and a nice spot to unwind after a long day. I also liked the modern, comfortable interior design at the Maritim Hotel Darmstadt. Downtown is 2 km away and easy to walk to, while the nearby station has a supermarket and there’s a cinema right behind the hotel. My stay was generally positive, but staff could be more attentive and friendly, and the breakfast selection could be better. With those improvements, the service would be much stronger. It’s a solid, comfortable choice with convenient nearby amenities.
