Days Inn by Wyndham Dessau

A standard hotel, with a little something extra from the friendly staff. The rooms were really clean, and I can recommend it.

The location is handy when you’ve had a long drive, right by the highway, with stores about a 20-minute walk away. There’s also a restaurant in the building and a vending machine. Rooms looked clean and well kept, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff were polite.

For a short rest before getting back on the road, it worked well. The room was clean and looked fine, with a good-sized bed, a decent shower, and a useful little desk. There’s on-site parking, and the location near the motorway was convenient, though it felt a bit isolated and there weren’t many food choices nearby. No kettle or fridge in the room, which was a shame. I’d consider staying again if I needed another quick stop.

The room itself was nice and clean, with a wooden floor instead of a dirty carpet. But the night receptionist was extremely rude. Our guests arrived right at the start, used the wrong entrance, and got shouted at, even though there were no signs pointing them to the right one. It left a really awful first impression, unlike anything I’ve experienced before.
