Hotel Deutsches Haus

We stayed in the newer blue building, one of the hotel’s two buildings. It suited us perfectly, completely modern and with all the amenities. The view and location were great, right in the middle of the charming old town.

Breakfast was great: you choose some items ahead of time so they’re ready when you come down, then you can add more at the table. The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The rooms are huge and beautifully furnished, with plush beds and modern bathrooms. The hotel is in the center of Dinkelsbühl’s old town, and we wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely visit again. There’s some street parking outside, or you can use the garage for a daily rate. We used one of the large municipal car parks just a short walk away instead.

The only thing that kept the evening from a five was that they ran out of vodka after two servings, so I had to stop ordering Vodka Lemonade. I’d heard the wine selection was excellent, though I stuck with my usual drink. The food was lovely, nicely presented, and there was plenty of it. Service was quick, the waiters were helpful, and the atmosphere was really nice. I’d definitely come back.

The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, and breakfast was lovely. The hotel is right in the historic center, which is a great location.
