At checkout there was some confusion over whether I’d already paid through the booking platform. I had, although the staff initially thought I hadn’t, so make sure you know where things stand. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was included and good. We had a spacious family room in a historic building inside the city gates, right in the center, and Dinkelsbühl’s sights were an easy walk away. You can book a table at the hotel restaurant for dinner. They serve good local and German dishes.

We only had breakfast there, and it was a good continental style spread. The room was large, bright, welcoming, spotlessly clean, and very nicely furnished. The hotel is comfortable and quiet, with friendly, welcoming service and a great central spot for walking around town. The indoor and outdoor bar areas are busy with locals, which is always a good sign. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

We stayed in a spacious, very comfortable family suite and all five of us slept well. Having our own bathroom was great. The place was in great shape, the owners were very friendly, and breakfast was a good traditional German one. There’s also a nice little restaurant with a good regional wine list. A lovely small hotel in Dinkelsbühl’s old town.

The WiFi wasn’t fast enough for me to make a WhatsApp call. Apart from that, the room was large and comfortable, and the water pressure was good.
