None of us liked the dinner. The Pizza Tonno was really dry, and the spaghetti pomodoro and Mango burrata salad were pretty tasteless. The Pizza Roma was kind of okay, but they served broth instead of the minestrone soup. Peccato.

The room felt cold and bare, all white and antiseptic, with no art, color, or individuality. There wasn’t even a kettle for tea or coffee. It could have been anywhere in the world, and they missed a chance to make it feel like part of beautiful, quaint Dinkelsbuehl. They could have done so much with the location, but went with an anonymous, cold look. Sad, sad, sad. Is this what modernity is supposed to mean? If so, what a pity. The rest was all very nice: good breakfast, friendly staff, and clean, comfortable rooms right in the heart of the old town.

We stopped for a drink on Saturday afternoon 17/05 and asked the waitress about a table that evening. She suggested booking ahead, and we got a great table. The food was amazing and plentiful, and the tiramasu dessert was stunning. The same waitress served us that evening and was a real credit to the restaurant.

The lovely street setting made our evening snack stop even better. Anika was especially warm and welcoming, and both the food and service left us completely satisfied. It went well beyond what we expected.

We stopped for lunch in Dinkelsbuhl and found the food nice and the seating really comfortable. The staff were very friendly, and the prices felt very reasonable, even low for a tourist spot. I'd definitely recommend it.
