Döbeln is calm and feels authentic, with Dresden and other beautiful places nearby. The guesthouse itself is lovely and traditional, and the rooms were very clean and tidy. The landlady was professional and really nice. Greetings from Belgium!
A traditional private mansion that's been made into a great place to stay, with all the modern conveniences.
The breakfast felt honest and straightforward, and the staff were friendly. We liked the lovely house and great rooms, and would gladly return.
We only stopped for one night while passing through, but had a lovely room in a really beautiful villa. The owner was friendly, funny, and original. Breakfast was great, and we'll definitely come back. Ramona and Christian
The room was functional, though not completely clean. There was a spider in the bathroom on each of the three days I stayed. The landlady was friendly, but her morning reminder about the 10 a.m. checkout left a bad taste. Reminding me of the time was one thing; adding that I could leave earlier felt different. I found the place rather spartan for my taste. A hairdryer and even a wastebasket in the bathroom would have been welcome. Getting from the parking lot to the entrance meant a somewhat long uphill walk, which was awkward with a large suitcase. Also, this guesthouse isn't wheelchair accessible: there are seven steps at the entrance and stairs to the rooms. I'm probably a bit spoiled by hotels, but no hotel rooms were available for the dates I wanted.
