Ferienwohnung Lemke

We stayed at Ferienwohnung Lemke while exhibiting at the Fürstenberg Christmas World in Donaueschingen for four days. It was an easy 8-10 minute drive from the apartment in Aufen, just outside the center, and saved us the nearly 90-minute drive home each evening. The welcome was very friendly, and the owners have put together a folder with house rules and local tips. The apartment is on the lower floor of the owners' home and had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy, with two bedrooms, though we only used the larger one. The spacious kitchen had a stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, radio, dishes, cutlery, glasses, and common spices such as salt and pepper. There was a large dining table, plus a big living room and couch that we didn't get to use because we arrived late and left early. There were even sweets on the pillows. The bathroom had a tub and shower, and there was also a separate toilet with a sink and a hairdryer. Guests have a dedicated parking spot, though street parking is possible too. There's also a garden and terrace that we didn't use at that time of year. A sauna and washing machine were available in the basement for a fee, and we were given two keys for the building entrance and apartment. We were mostly there to sleep, but I'd gladly stay again and can highly recommend it.

We'd happily return to this quiet rental. The apartment was very spacious, spotless, and equipped with every little thing we needed. The hosts were warm and attentive, too. A real gem.
